You've heard of 28 Weeks Later, but have you heard of 28 Months Later? Apparently, Danny Boyle had so much fun doing second-unit stuff on the sequel, he's seriously thinking about helming the third (if there is a third).
28 Days Later, the original movie (I know, it's getting confusing, doesn't it?), is one of my favorite horror movies ever. I'm a huge Alex Garland fan and this movie felt like the closest thing to his novel the Beach that he's ever written. And Danny Boyle, despite ruining the adaptation of the Beach, is a hell of a director. So needless to say, I was somewhat skeptical when I heard there was going to be a sequel to the movie without Boyle directing and Garland writing (although they're both producing) but the trailer looks promising. I'll probably still wait to hear what others say about it, though.
